Shipping policy

General

All orders are subject to product availability, and we aim to process all orders within 24 hours.

Our standard delivery services apply to working weekdays only and do not apply to weekends or Public Holidays.

We aim to dispatch orders for in stock items that are placed by 3pm Monday-Friday on the same day where possible.  Orders placed after 3pm on Friday will be dispatched on the following Monday, or next working day over a Bank Holiday weekend.

All items within a single order will be dispatched and shipped within a single delivery as standard, and the longest lead time will apply to the whole order. In some instances as you may require some items prior to any others becoming available, these items can be dispatched separately but may incur an additional delivery charge.  Please contact our Sales Team for further information and quotes.

For addresses in the UK Mainland*, we aim to deliver your order within 5-7 business days of receipt of payment.

Certain products offered on the website may have specific, stated delivery times which supersede our standard delivery proposal.

If there are delays, we’ll do our best to keep you informed at all times, including the expected delivery time.

Orders that are returned to us as undelivered will incur a chargeable fee of £10 for carriage, plus VAT and administration costs.

Once goods are delivered (and not before) you become the owner of the products, making them your responsibility. At this point we are not liable for any loss, damage or destruction of the goods.

Goods damaged in transit must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery, and critically before they are installed or adjusted.

We strongly recommend that you do not book fitters or tradesmen until your order has been delivered and checked by you. We cannot be held responsible for any third-party charges incurred due to non-delivery of an order, or orders that have not been checked on delivery.

Please note, if your parcel does not arrive, you cannot submit a missing parcel claim until 15 working days after dispatch.

 

Delivery Information

There are two types of products which can be ordered from Period Property Store that will determine the delivery parameters and costs.

  • ‘Standard’ products
  •  ‘Big & Bulky’ products

Our ‘Standard’ and ‘Next Day’ services are not available for items that fall within the ‘Big & Bulky’ category.

 

Standard & Next Day Delivery

Standard Delivery for UK Mainland* £12.00

*Anything outside mainland UK including Scottish Highlands and offshore will incur additional charges. Please enquire with our sales team.

 

Delivery charges and lead times may vary depending on the products ordered and your delivery postcode.

Our ‘Standard Delivery’ and ‘Next Day’ services are not available for items that fall within the ‘Big & Bulky’ category.

*Please Note – Next Day Delivery is available for ‘in stock’ items only. 

Services cannot be guaranteed as next day due to the possibility of unforeseen circumstances such as Force Majeure, or courier issues such as breakdowns or delays.

**Please Note - ’Big & Bulky’ items are delivered on a pallet and therefore are subject to alternative couriers, services and charges.

 

Delivery for ‘Big & Bulky’ Items

UK Mainland* delivery is £65.00. 

*Anything outside mainland UK including Scottish Highlands and offshore will incur additional charges. Please enquire with our sales team.

Items considered ‘Big & Bulky’ include, but are not limited to Doors, Radiators, Fire Surrounds & Fire Inserts, and large quantity tile orders.  Please see individual product information for further details.

Standard delivery 2 - 3 working days from dispatch for Mainland UK with the Palletforce Network, please see individual items for specific timeframes.

Kerbside delivery only.  It is the customers responsibility to move items to a safe location once delivered by Palletforce, and we will not be liable for any damages incurred while doing so.

There is no requirement for a forklift on the receiving end as Palletforce delivery vehicles have tail lifts.

You must notify us of any alternative requirements to facilitate delivery prior to your products being dispatched, for example if access is an issue for large vehicles such as lorries.  All additional costs incurred for alternative delivery arrangements will be charged to the customer.

Doors are delivered on a double pallet; pallet height will vary depending on the number of doors.  Maximum height up to 2.2m if the door/s are standing.

We allow 48 hours from the time of delivery for the detailed checking of goods and expect any concerns to be raised with us within that period, and critically before items are adjusted or installed.
